Becoming a member of Dogs West.
To compete in a Trial you will need to become a financial member of Dogs West and register your dog. Please follow steps below to do both.
Step 1: Visit the Dogs West Webpage – www.dogswest.com/dogswest/Home.htm
Step 2: Click on the Members tab.
Step 3: Click on Application Forms and Agreements (Second heading on drop down menu).
Step 4: Click on Membership Forms
Step 5: Click on Membership Application Form. This will take you to the form you need to fill out.
The form itself does not tell what fees you are required to pay. You will need to open the “Fees List” to find this, which is also under the “Members Tab” and it’s the fourth heading down on drop down menu. You will need to pay an establishment fee and whichever Category of Membership you are. Most of you will probably be an Ordinary Single Member.

It is crucial that you send in the correct fees or they will return your application. Please remember to include copies of photo ID (Drivers Licence/Passport) and proof of residential address (Council Rates, Water Bill etc.) when sending in application.
Once you send your membership application in to Dogs West it will be placed on their notice board for a period of about two weeks to give Current Dogs West Members the chance to object to your application before it can be processed. This for the large percentage of you should just be a formality and should not be an issue. So please allow sufficient time for applications to be processed, particularly if you are wanting to enter a particular trial. I would recommend a minimum of 4 weeks.
Registering your Dog.
If you have registered dog (purebred) you will not need to do this as this should have been filled out on your membership application form. However, if you have a cross breed or your dog is unable to be registered as a purebred you will need to fill out an Application for Registration of an Associate Dog.
Step 1: Following Steps 1 to 3 as seen above.
Step 2: Click on Registration and Transfer Applications Forms.
Step 3: Click on Associate Dog Registration Form. This will take you to the form you need to fill out.
Please Note: That whatever name you fill in on the form as your dog’s name must all be one word with no spaces.
